These may seem like strange recommendations, but if you were captivated by the love story in the Twilight books, it's possible that you might really enjoy Jane Eyre, and/or Pride and Prejudice.  Like Edward in Twilight, Mr. Rochester and Mr. Darcy at first appear to be cold, aloof, and fairly unsuitable suitors for the young Jane Eyre and Elizabeth Bennett; like Bella, Jane and Elizabeth are stubborn and occasionally strong-willed, and are not afraid to speak their opinions.  All three young ladies tend to become embroiled in exasperating disputes with the men that will become their husbands, and it is that quality of hard-headedness that makes them such charming heroines.  Therein we learn more about the characters of Rochester, Darcy, and in Twilight, Cullen, because instead of moving on to another love interest, all three of these characters are intrigued by the stubborn women that irritate them, but whom they ultimately fall in love with.

I suggest "Sunshine" by Robin McKinley if you like the vampire/human relationship theme. Excellent book that came out awhile ago. I highly recommend anything by Robin McKinley, especially her fairy tale retellings.

Based on the recommendation of a co-worker, I recently picked up the first two books in the House of Night series by PC Cast & Kristin Cast.  The first is Marked and the second is Betrayed.  There are two others and I think it's book #5 that just came out today.

The premise is that teens are marked as vampires (spelled vampyres in this series) and attend a private boarding/prep school.  It's not Twilight but it's enough to fan my vampire needs!  The books are a step up (maturity wise/sexual content wise) from Twilight.  They're considered grades 8 and up, as they contain some mild sexual content (at least the first book does).

Yes, I would agree with everyone who recomended the "Uglies" series.

Also, there's the series Midnighters. Which I personally enjoyed.

There's also the "Bard Academy" series. #1 is Wuthering High. #2 is The Scarlet Letterman. #3 is Moby Clique.

If you're into "Chick Lit", I'd recommend Michelle Rowen's Immortality Bites series - imagine Carrie Bradshaw turned into a vampire, trying to come to terms with her new "life". The vampire theme with a touch of irony, and of course a romance. There are 4 novels at the moment, "Bitten and Smitten", "Fanged and Fabulous", "Lady and the Vamp", "Stakes and Stilettos".

In reply to #1:Well if you like stuff like wizards and mythical creatures then have you read the "Harry Potter" series? If You have then you could try the "Ink Heart" series. I just got done reading them and they were fantastic!

If you want another vampire series, you should try the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. The first book is titled Dead Until Dark. Be warned, however, that they contain more "mature" subject matter and language than you'll find in the Twilight series. The series "True Blood" is based on these books.

If u love Twilight u will also most likely love Evermore. Ever the main girl meets Damen. Who is mysterious and she knows theres somethin different about him bcuz he moves so fast and talks like he lived a long time ago. Sounds a lot like Twilight huh.But hes not a vampire as she first expects. hes a lot like Edward in many ways.u find out what  he is @ the end of the book
