Summary
The governess returns to her room and, with Flora beside her, is intent of finishing the letter she is writing to her employer, informing him about the events going on at Bly, including the few facts she knows about Miles’ ambiguous dismissal from school. She hears Miles call her from his room. She leaves Flora and goes to see what the boy wants. He is in a good mood and simply wants her company.
