One could say that Brutus and Cassius are like George Bush and Tony Blair. Cassius would mirror George Bush and Brutus would mirror Tony Blair.
One major similarity is as follows. The purpose of the assasination of Julius Caesar was that he was gaining too much power. Cassius was able to persuade Brutus, using a few devices, that the only way to curb his ambition was to kill him. Likewise, Bush was able to convince Blair that Sadaam Hussein (paralleling Caesar) was harboring weapons of mass destruction and the only way to stop him was to invade his country and "take him out."
I hope this at least gives you some insight into the topic.
