WHAT IS ITS MISSION?
According to the organization, the mission of the Independent Insurance Agents of America (IIAA), "is to be the unrelenting advocate for independent insurance agents and to fulfill the educational, political, and business needs of its members." The IIAA is a professional association of independent insurance agentsgents who sell policies written by several different insurance companies, as opposed to company or captive agents, who work exclusively for a single large insurer. It has consistently advanced the perpetuation of the independent agency system, and the overall well-being of the insurance industry itself. Among the IIAA's declared Fundamental Values is a pledge to "commit the resources necessary to achieve a legislative, regulatory, and legal environment most favorable to independent agents and consumers."...
