WHAT IS ITS MISSION?
According to The United States Government Manual 1997/1998, the mission of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNS) is to "engage Americans of all backgrounds in community-based service which addresses the Nation's educational, public safety, human, and environmental needs to achieve direct and demonstrable results.
