Description
The Editor-in-Chief of the Global Politician is Sam Vaknin. Vaknin in the past served as an economic advisor to governments in Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern and Central Europe, and as a financial consultant to leading businesses in Israel, Switzerland, Russia, Macedonia and the Czech Republic. The associate editors are Ryan Mauro, Ross Kaminsky, Bhuwan Thapaliya and Ghazal Omid.[2] The magazine's stated goal is to go beyond traditional news found in media to publish about events missed by mainstream media. It publishes 5-7 op-ed pieces daily, and several investigative reports and interviews per month.[citation needed]
The website allows people to contribute, on following conditions that are posted on its Get Published page:[3]
Global Politician is an independent journal of politics, economics and world affairs. Global Politician publishes analytical, insightful and critical articles. Expressing one's own ideas is encouraged. The material has to be well-written and provide actual knowledge, rather than propaganda or advertisement. Having said that, criticism or praise of governments, politicians, policies and actions is allowed.[3]
However, Global Politician has published articles from an anonymous right-wing blogger called "Fjordman", an anonymous Norwegian blogger who writes about Islam and Muslim immigration and the danger that he believes it poses to Western civilization.[4]
