    Dill ran away from home because his parents weren't paying him enough attention.  They would buy him things and tell him to go outside and play with them, but they wouldn't spend time with him.  He went to the Finch home in Maycomb and was found under Scout's bed, which frightened Scout.  Later, Jem told Atticus that Dill was there, and Atticus notified Dill's Aunt Rachel and let Dill spend the night.
