It is clear to all that the symbolism behind the title is meant to represent the lost of innocence. The novel mentions that mockingbirds only sing for the world. They do not harm anything. Therefore, Boo Radley and Tom Robinson are mockingbirds. However, Atticus and Dill also have instances in the novel where their innocence is taken advantage of as well.
