    well i think they were simulating a virtual game and one of them (dill, scout and jem) was acting like boo... they even took scissors (because of the stories they heard of boo stabbing his father in the leg with his scissors) to simulate the game... in total it's like a virtual simulation made by them acting...

    when atticus sees them, he gets a bit fed up and tells them they should better stop!
