    When she goes to the pilgrimage in the mountains, with the church and all, a young boy is shot right in front of her by the gaurdias of El Jefe, or Trujillo. She gets angered that 1) They shot a boy about the age of her son 2) shot him in a religious building and 3) she finally realizes how corrupt their government is and decides that Trujillo needs to be stopped
