In the morning, Aramis sees his magnificent new horse, and he is thrilled. However, he is still too weak from his gunshot wound to ride. Because of this, d’Artagnan leaves Aramis behind and rides on alone to find Athos. On the way, d’Artagnan reflects that Athos is a mysterious person.
