    SPOILER ALERT:

At the end of this novel there is a letter from Justice Wargrave in which he admits that he is responsible for all of the murders on the island.  We play a guessing game throughout the book trying to figure out who it may be, but it isn't until the end that the culprit is revealed.

Agatha Christie was widely criticized for the ending to her novel.  Many readers felt that the ending was not satisfying since the murderer was never brought to justice; however, Christie  was a masterful writer who developed new ways to trick and entertain the reader.
