In Their Eyes Were Watching God, what was Tea Cake's reaction with the two white men in town?

  1. Tea Cake's first reaction is to run, but he sees that would do no good, because "the men had already seen him and they were too close to miss him if they shot".  He hopes they will just pass on by, but they confront him and order him to help bury those who had died in the hurricane, because the bodies were piling up and they weren't being buried fast enough.  When Tea Cake protests, one of the men makes a move with his rifle, and threatens, "Don't look out somebody'll be buryin' you".  Tea Cake has no choice but to join the "small army that had been pressed into service to clear the wreckage...and bury the dead".
