Summary
Janie notices that the Seminoles that live around the area are starting to leave the Everglades. When she asks one of them, she is told that a hurricane is coming and they are moving to higher ground. The workers dismiss the warning, even though they notice animals leaving as well. When the sky gets dark a few days later, some workers get frightened and move east. One of the Bahaman workers asks Tea Cake and Janie if they would like to go with him, but they decide to stay, like...
