Isn't the movie The Outsiders the same as the movie Rumblefish?

    Both movies, "The Outsiders" and "Rumblefish" were adapted from books written by author S.E. Hinton.  Both are alike in theme and both star the same actors in lead roles (Matt Dillon and Diane Lane).  In addition, Francis Ford Coppola directed both movies.  Because the same author wrote both books, they are very much alike. Each book deals with small town life, the effects of poverty and gang life in sixties and seventies and the stuggle of teens to gain identity and survive to adulthood.  The films may seem similar but if both books are read, the differences emerge.
