What are Principles constituting the basis of the writing system?

Three principles that I found for the establishment of a writing system are that it should be:
1. Psychologically and developmentally appropriate for its users
2. Connected to its social and cultural setting and background
3. Suited in terms of grammar, usage, and mechanics, to the spoken language that it is supposed to represent.
