How does A Tale of Two Cities connect to Charles Dickens' life?

I'm coming up with a topic sentence for a section of my research paper and need a general statement on how his life connected to this particular work...

    Even though the novel "A Tale of Two Cities" is about England and Paris during the French Revolution, and it happened 70 years before Charles Dickens was born, one of the themes of the nove is the crulety of prison and what being in prison can do to people.  In this novel Dr. Alexandre Manette, Lucie Manette's father has spent 18 years in a French prison and when she sees him after his release he is a changed man. 

    Dickens father spent time in debtors' prison and his Dickens childhood was affected by his father's absence and the family's  poverty.  His life was affected by the type of society he lived in and this is what he wrote about.

    Dickens was also writing about the changes in his society and the fear of another revolution.  Because of the way things were changing in England at the time, Dickens and many other people were fearful that they might have to endure a revolution the way France did.
