Sylvia Plath was a prolific writer of poetry and prose. Her first publication was a short story, “Sunday at the Mintons’,” which appeared in Mademoiselle in 1952. Throughout the remainder of her life, her stories and prose sketches appeared almost yearly in various journals and magazines. Ted Hughes edited a selection of these prose works, Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams (1977-1979).
