As Kate's family, from her husband to her youngest son, prepare to disperse in various directions for their summer plans, Kate is feeling a sense of loss. Unexpectedly she takes on a temporary job as an interpreter, as a favor to a friend of her husband. Within a short time, Kate unconsciously takes on the role of nurturing employee, and she begins to question her new identities.
