As Kate's family, from her husband to her youngest son, prepare to disperse in various directions for their summer plans, Kate is feeling a sense of loss. Unexpectedly she takes on a temporary job as an interpreter, as a favor to a friend of her husband. Within a short time, Kate unconsciously takes on the role of nurturing employee, and she begins to question her new identities. She soon discovers that the identities she habitually takes on limit her real self, which tends to be submerged into an identity that no one recognizes.
Upon completing her task as interpreter, Kate hesitates...
