Are there games that we play in society that represent serious and terrible things? give some example. why do we play these games? should we?

The only example of a game that we in the United States play that represents something serious and terrible is the kids' game "Ring Around A Rosie."

That game comes from the Black Death (Bubonic Plague) that swept through Europe at various times in the Middle Ages.

Nowadays, I think we play it because it's traditional and the meaning has been so lost in time as to be irrelevant.

If we don't know the meaning of the game, it seems like there's no real problem with playing it.  If we did know the meaning, you might say it was good because it might makes us less afraid of death.

Is this what you're talking about or are you referring to games that represent something really immediate and current -- not something from 800 years ago?
