Students Speak Out On Overall Experience

“My overall experience has been great. I really like the small school and class sizes, and the women's college aspect has added an interesting dimension. Because it's small, I’ve been able to be more involved than I think I would be at a bigger school. I’ve also been able to make lots of connections, something else I think I would miss if I was lost in the numbers at a bigger school. I like the women's college part, because the faculty and staff are dedicated to building us up and encouraging us to challenge ourselves in every part of life. That said, it's not all touchy-feely; there is a good sense of competition. It's all what you make of it.”

“Despite having the devil incarnate as a roommate my first semester and having a less than positive interaction with the Dean of Students, I adore Scripps and I absolutely know that I made the right decision in my college search. I value the small size of the Scripps community, the accommodating faculty and staff, and the immaculate landscaping and architecture. I appreciate that people know me by name and not by social security number. I love the inherent freedom of an all-women's college. I realize that living in close quarters with 750 women isn't for everyone, but as I’ve come to realize in the past year, it works for me, and I can't imagine myself anywhere else.”
