When was chlorofluorcarbons(CFCs) banned in the US and which other countries have banned them as well?

    Chlorofluorocarbons, also known as CFC's, were slowly “phased out” since the 1987 Montreal Protocol. Included in the Montreal Protocol were the clauses:

    from 1996 its calculated level of consumption and production of the controlled substances in Group I of Annex A does not exceed zero.”

    Thus you can determine that the ban on CFC’s in the United States and many of the other nations was officially 1996.
