    The reference link, provided, should be able to answer your concern about "top wood manufacturing states." 

    If you define "wood manufacturing" to be the removal of wood for production, the top five (5) states are, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Washington.  It should be noted that the top states for wood production, as defined, are also the same states that are replanting as many if not more trees than they cut.  This same URL has cut (excuse the pun) the statistics of "wood" many different ways.  No matter how your question was intended to be answered, although I think I got it correct, you should be able to find the answer for which you were looking!
