- Arthropoda — insects, arachnids, crustaceans
- Nematoda — round worms
- Mollusca — squid, snails, bivalves
- Annelida — segmented worms (earthworms, leeches, polychaetes)
- Nemertea — ribbon worms
- Platyhelminthes — flat worms
- Rotifera
- Acoelomorpha
- Ctenophora — Comb jellies
- Cnidaria — jellyfishes, corals, sea anemones, hydras
- Porifera — sponges
- Echinoderms - starfishes, sea urchin
