The Environment | What Is A "Green Product"?
What is a "green product"?
"Green products" are products that are safe for the environment, meaning they contain no chlorofluorocarbons (compounds that destroy the ozone layer), are degradable (can decompose), and are made from recycled materials. "Deep-green products" are "green" products from small suppliers who claim to be particularly sensitive to environmental issues. "Greened-up products" come from industry giants and are environmentally improved versions of established brands.
