Which state has the most miles of roads?
Texas lays claim to the greatest length of road with 294,142 miles (473,274 kilometers). California is a distant second with 169,201 miles (272,244 kilometers) of roads. On the other end of the scale, only three states have fewer than 10,000 miles (16,090 kilometers) of roads: Delaware, Hawaii, and Rhode Island. The total road mileage in the United States is 3,904,721 (6,282,696 kilometers).
