Are there any floating bridges in the United States?

There are four floating bridges (bridges supported by floating structures called pontoons) in the United States, all located in the state of Washington. Three are in Seattle-, the Evergreen Point Bridge, constructed in 1963, is 7,518 feet (2,291 meters) long; the Third Lake Washington Bridge, constructed in 1989, is 6,130 feet (1,868 meters) long; and the Lacy V. Murrow—Lake Washington Bridge, constructed in 1993, is 6,543 feet (1,994 meters) long. The Hood Canal Bridge, in Port Gamble, Washington, was constructed in 1961 and is 6,471 feet (1,972 meters) long.
