Purpose/Hypothesis

Evaporation occurs when liquid water turns into water vapor, a gas. The more water that evaporates and then condenses back into water droplets in the atmosphere, the more rain that falls.

In this experiment, you will determine how water temperature affects the rate of evaporation. Before you begin, make an educated guess about the outcome of this experiment based on your knowledge of evaporation. This educated guess, or prediction, is your hypothesisAn idea in the form of a statement that can be tested by observation and/or experiment.. A hypothesis should explain these things:
