Introduction
Right now, at least one area of the world is experiencing some type of powerful stormAn extreme atmospheric disturbance, associated with strong damaging winds, and often with thunder and lightning.. Storms are periods of extreme bad weather that can bring powerful winds and torrential rains. Storms can rip buildings apart, toss cars through the air, cause deaths, and spark forest fires. Every day there are as many as fifty thousand storms occurring throughout the world. They can stretch for hundreds of miles, or remain isolated to a few hundred yards. Either way, storms can cause enormous devastation. Some of the more common types of storms are thunderstorms and tornadoes.
