Experiment 2
Light Intensity: How does the intensity of light affect plant growth?

Purpose/Hypothesis

This experiment deals with the amount of light required for photosynthesis and growth. In this experiment, three wattages of light bulbs—40 watt, 25 watt, and 5 watt—will be used to determine how the different amounts of light intensity affect plant growth. A fourth plant will have no light bulb. In general, the more light present, the better a plant responds in its growth and vigor. However, light can also scorch or burn a plant if it is too intense.
