Scaling it down?
The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. Very acidic substances are at the lower end of the scale, with 0.0 being the most acidic, and very basic substances are at the upper end of the scale, with 14.0 being the most basic. A pH of 7.0 indicates a substance that is neutral—neither acidic nor basic.
