How to Select a Topic Relating to this Concept

While flowers all have the same function, they are widely diverse in appearance. Many flowers, especially the self-pollinators, are so small and nondescript that you may not notice them. To gather ideas for a topic you can look at the many different types of flowers that grow in your area. Visit a greenhouse or a florist to observe species' shapes, colors, and scents. As flowers are unique to a geographic region, you may want to look up photographs and descriptions of flowers in different locations around the United States and the world. Examine how the flower's appearance shapes its role, if any, with possible pollinators.
