How to Select a Topic Relating to This Concept

Try growing lichen in a controlled environment. If you find lichen growing on an easily movable object, such as a piece of dead wood or a small rock, try carefully moving that rock into your classroom or laboratory. Remember that the lichen needs light and moisture. If you are able to transport lichen, you can design an experiment that will more accurately test the effects of different air qualities on the lichen.
