Lois F. McNeil Dissertation Research Fellowships

(Fellowship)

Purpose: Residential fellowship for doctoral candidates in departments of history, art history, American studies, African-American history, anthropology, folklore, historic preservation, and related fields. Applicants must have completed course work, passed qualifying exams, fulfilled language requirements, and have an approved prospectus. Two nine-month or four semester-length fellowships will be awarded. Recipients expected to be in residence at Winterthur and to use the term of fellowship researching in Winterthur library and museum collections. For more information: http://www.winterthur.org. (Postgraduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: Residential fellowships for postgraduate students to conduct advanced residential research at Winterthur Library. Research must coincide with the Library's resources. Must be a U.S. resident, or a non-resident living in the U.S. for at least three years prior to application. Visit Web site for details, http://www.winterthur.org. Winterthur Research Fellowships

Purpose: One-time residential fellowships of $1500 per month for academic, museum, and independent scholars to use library archival materials for dissertation research and other study.
