Malcolm Baldrige Scholarship

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: One-time award open to undergraduates studying international business or trade. Must be a Connecticut resident enrolled in a Connecticut college. Must be a U.S. citizen. Focus: International Studies; Business/Consumer Services Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 1. Maximum no. of awards: 2. Minimum award amount: $1000. Maximum award amount: $4000. Lois McMillen Memorial Scholarship Fund

(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Scholarships to women who are actively pursuing or who would like to pursue an artistic career. Must reside in the Foundation's service area, which is the greater Waterbury area of Connecticut. Awarded for the purpose of attending an accredited college or university or a qualified artists-in-residence program in a chosen artistic field. Preference will be given to artists in the visual arts of painting and design. Focus: Arts Qualif.: Applicant must be: female. High school students not considered.

Regional and Restricted Scholarship Award Program

Purpose: Supports accredited college or university study for residents of the Waterbury Foundation's twenty-one town service area. Regional awards are restricted to Connecticut colleges/universities only. Twenty-five restricted award programs are based on specific fund criteria (residency, ethnicity or course of study). Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 175. Maximum no. of awards: 220. Minimum award amount: $250. Maximum award amount: $10000. Purpose: Academic year scholarships of $7500 available for graduate and undergraduate students, preferably of Polish descent, residing in Connecticut, who are studying Polish language, history or culture during the academic year at a college or university in the United States or Poland. Scholarship for exchange study in the United States or Poland. Focus: Area/Ethnic Studies Qualif.: High school students not considered.
