American Indian Endowed Scholarship
(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)
Purpose: Awarded to financially needy undergraduate and graduate students with close social and cultural ties to a Native-American community. Must be Washington resident, enrolled full time at Washington School. Deadline is May 15. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to the following races: Native American/Eskimo.

Educational Opportunity Grant
(Four Year College, University/Grant)
Purpose: Annual grants of $2500 to encourage financially needy, placebound students to complete bachelor's degree. Must be unable to continue education due to family or work commitments, health concerns, financial needs, or similar. Must be Washington residents, live in one of 13 designated counties, and have completed two years of college. Grant only used at eligible four-year colleges in Washington. Applications accepted beginning in April and following months until funds are depleted. Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Health Professional Loan Repayment and Scholarship Programs
(Loan)
Purpose: Loan repayment to licensed primary care health professionals. Scholarships to students training to become primary care health professionals. Participants agree to provide primary health care services for three to five years in medically underserved areas in Washington state. Loan repayment applications due first week in September. Scholarship applications due in April. Focus: Dental Health/Services; Health and Medical Sciences; Nursing Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

State Need Grant
(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Grant)
Purpose: Grants for undergraduate students with significant financial need. Must be Washington resident and attend school in Washington. Must have family income equal or less than 55% of state median. Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Washington Award for Vocational Excellence (WAVE)

Purpose: Award to honor three vocational students from each of the state's 49 legislative districts. Grants for up to two years of undergraduate resident tuition. Must be enrolled in Washington high school, skills center, or technical college at time of application. Complete 360 hours in single vocational program in high school or one year at technical college. Contact principal or guidance counselor for more information. Washington Promise Scholarship
(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)
Purpose: College scholarships to low- and middle-income students in high school. Must either rank in top 15 percent of senior class or score a combined 1200 on SAT or 27 on ACT on first attempt. Family income cannot exceed 135% of state median family income. Must be Washington resident, attend a Washington school. School must identify applicants.
