Purpose: Musical performance competition for persons 25 and under with disabilities. One-time award of $5000. Submit audio or videotape of performance. VSA arts Playwright Discovery Award
(Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: One-time award for students in grades 6-12 with and without disabilities. One-act script must explore the experience of living with a disability. One script is selected for production and one is selected for a staged reading at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A jury of theater professionals selects the winning scripts, and award recipients receive monetary awards and a trip to Washington, D.C. to view the reading or production.
