Purpose: The Gray Ghost Squadron Program is designed only for the children/grandchildren of former members of the 531 Squadron. To qualify the applicant's parent must have served in one of the 531 squadrons for at least 90 days. In addition, the parent must have received an honorable discharge (or still be on active duty) for a dependent to apply. Also, the parent's gross income in the previous year must not have exceeded $56,000 from all sources. The program is administered by the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF) after our squadron scholarship committee has determined the applicant is qualified to apply as a 531 qualified applicant. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following branches of the military: Marines.
