Purpose: One fellowship awarded to a graduate or advanced-level student for research with a direct relationship to the combat contributions of enlisted marines, either individually or as a group. Submit preliminary letter, outlining qualifications and a topic or topic request. Submit formal application upon notification. Program gives preference to pre-1991 period topics. Limited to U.S. citizens and nationals. A portion of the research can be done in Washington, D.C. Deadline: May 1.
