Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program-Army

(University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Award provides up to four years of tuition, books, fees, associated expenses, and monthly stipend of over $1100. Must attend accredited school of medicine, optometry, dentistry, veterinary medicine, clinical psychology, osteopathy, or nursing. Must undergo physical examination. Application must include statement of motivation. Military service required upon graduation. Focus: Health and Medical Sciences; Nursing; Dental Health/Services; Animal/Veterinary Sciences Qualif.: Applicant must be: 19-43 years old, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following branches of the military: Army.

Health Professions Loan Repayment

(University/Loan)

Purpose: Provides over $100,000 in payment of student loan for students pursuing a doctoral degree in Pharmacy and certain dental specialists. Must be in the U.S. Army. Focus: Dental Health/Services; Pharmacy Qualif.: Applicant must be: 21-47 years old, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following branches of the military: Army.

F.E. Hebert Financial Assistance Program

(Postgraduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: Award provides annual grant plus monthly stipend. For graduates of dental school who intend to do residencies in oral surgery, endodontics, pedodontics, or periodontics; and for graduates of medical school who intend to do residencies in various specialties. Contact Army healthcare recruiter for current applicable specialties. Military service required upon completion of residency. Focus: Health and Medical Sciences; Dental Health/Services Qualif.: Applicant must be: 21-47 years old, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following branches of the military: Army.

Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia

Purpose: Students receive full pay and allowances commensurate with military rank during entire master's program. Tuition, fees and books paid by the Army. Active-duty Army obligation is four years upon completion of program. Must undergo physical examination. Restricted to nursing studies. Application deadline is June 1. Focus: Nursing Qualif.: Applicant must be: 21-47 years old. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following branches of the military: Army.

University of Texas-Houston Health Science Master of Science Degree in Nurse Anesthesia

Active-duty obligation is four years upon completion of program. Must undergo physical examination. Ten one-time awards available. Restricted to nursing studies. Deadline is June 1.
