Georgia Harkness Scholarships

(University/Scholarship)

Purpose: One-time award for female preparing for ordained ministry as an elder in the United Methodist Church. Must be 35 or older and enrolled in an accredited school of theology and working toward a basic seminary degree. Must study full-time. Focus: Religion/Theology Qualif.: Applicant must be: age 35 or older, female, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following religions: Methodist.

Purpose: One-time award for Texas residents attending a United Methodist institution in Texas. Must have been United Methodist Church member for at least one year. Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following religions: Methodist.

Must be an active member of United Methodist Church for at least one year. Merit-based award. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Focus: Religion/Theology Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following religions: Methodist.
