Albert Shanker College Scholarship Fund of the United Federation of Teachers

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Renewable award for eligible students graduating from New York City public high schools to pursue undergraduate studies. Scholarship is $1250 a year for four years. Submit transcript, autobiography, essay, references, and financial need analysis with application. Deadline is third week of December. There are nine graduate awards including a renewable medical and a renewable law award. Applicants must be current undergraduate award winners. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
