Kenneth H. Ashworth Fellowship Program

Robert C. Byrd Scholarship Program-Texas

Early High School Graduation Scholarships

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Award of $2000 for Texas residents who have completed the requirements for graduation from a Texas high school in no more than 36 consecutive months. Eligibility continues until full $2000 tuition award is received. Must submit high school certificate of eligibility to Coordinating Board. For more information, contact your high school counselor. Educational Aides Exemption

(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Assist certain educational aides by exempting them from payment of tuition and fees at public colleges or universities in Texas. Applicants must have worked as an educational aide in a Texas public school for at least one year and must be enrolled in courses required for teacher certification. Application cycles are as follows: Fall, June 1 through February 1; Spring, November 1 through July 1; and Summer, April 1 through October 1. Must have been in foster care under the conservatorship of the Department of Protection and Regulatory Services on or after 18th birthday; or on the day of the student's 14th birthday, if the student was also eligible for adoption on or after that day; or the day the student graduated from high school or completed the equivalent of a high school diploma.
