Purpose: Provides a minimum of 3 and maximum of 12 months of full-time support over a 24-month period for the purpose of research focusing on policy-relevant and contemporary issues having a comparative or transnational perspective. Must focus on experiences of U.S. and Japan from a global perspective. Applicants must hold a PhD or the terminal degree in their field or the equivalent level of professional experience. Central Asia, Louis DuPree Prize for Research

Purpose: Prize awarded for the most promising dissertation involving field research in Central Asia. Only candidates who receive a dissertation fellowship from American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)/SSRC will be eligible to apply.
