Beirut Relief Fund Scholarships

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Renewable award available to unmarried children of individuals killed while serving with the Second Marine Division, U.S. Marine Corps, or a unit attached thereto while serving in Beirut. Applicant must submit proof of parent's service and must have minimum 2.5 GPA. Merit-based award. Only 113 individuals potentially eligible. Qualif.: Applicant must be: single, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following branches of the military: Marines.

Purpose: Renewable award for students who are unmarried sons, daughters or grandchildren of former or current members of 2nd Marine Division or attached units. Must submit proof of parent's service. Family adjusted gross income must not exceed $42,000. Award is merit-based. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Qualif.: Applicant must be: single, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following branches of the military: Marines.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 25. Maximum no. of awards: 35. Minimum award amount: $1000. No. and Amount Awarded Last Calendar Year: 32 scholarship(s), totalling $25,600.
