Joseph Henry Jackson Literary Award

(Postgraduate/Prize)

Purpose: Award presented annually to an author of an unpublished work in progress: fiction, nonfiction, prose, or poetry. Must be California or Nevada resident for three consecutive years and be between 20-35 years of age. Submit manuscript. One-time award of $2000 is not a scholarship. Applications accepted from November 15 to January 31. Qualif.: Applicant must be: 20-35 years old. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: Award for graduate student at one of seven Bay Area colleges or universities. Must be nominated and have completed one semester of graduate study in fine arts. Must submit slides. Artwork submitted must have been completed within the past two years. Must have at least two semesters before graduation. Application deadline is April 4. Focus: Arts Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
