(Postgraduate/Loan)
Purpose: Loan forgiveness to help agriculture and veterinary medicine graduates repay student loans when they return to operate a family farm, a family farm corporation, or practice veterinary medicine on agricultural animals in Pennsylvania. Must hold a degree in agriculture or veterinary medicine from a Pennsylvania institution. Limited to a lifetime maximum of $10,000 in loan forgiveness payments. The program will forgive up to $2,000 per year of PHEAA guaranteed student loans for each year the borrower is employed or works full time. Focus: Agriculture; Animal/Veterinary Sciences Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: Available to Pennsylvania residents who are graduating high school seniors. Must rank in the top 5% of graduating class, have at least a 3.5 GPA and score 1150 or above on the SAT, 25 or above on the ACT, or 355 or above on the GED. Renewable award of $1500. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: Renewable award for Pennsylvania residents pursuing a degree in science or technology at a PHEAA-approved Pennsylvania school. Must maintain minimum 3.0 GPA. Must commence employment in Pennsylvania in field related to student's program within one year after completion of studies. Must work one year for each year scholarship was awarded. Focus: Science, Technology, and Society Qualif.: High school students not considered.

Purpose: Award for Pennsylvania residents attending an approved postsecondary institution as undergraduates in a program of at least two years duration. Renewable for up to eight semesters if applicants show continued need and academic progress. Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: Waiver of tuition and fees for children of Pennsylvania police officers, firefighters, rescue or ambulance squad members, corrections facility employees, or National Guard members who died in the line of duty after January 1, 1976. Must be a resident of Pennsylvania 25 years old or younger and enrolled full time as an undergraduate student at a Pennsylvania community college, state-owned institution or state-related institution. Award is for a maximum of 5 years. Application deadline March 31. Qualif.: Applicant must be: age 25 or younger , full-time student. High school students not considered. Purpose: Renewable awards for Pennsylvania residents who are qualified veterans attending an approved undergraduate program full-time. Up to $3300 for in-state study or $800 for out-of-state study. Deadlines: May 1 for all renewal applicants, new applicants who plan to enroll in an undergraduate baccalaureate degree program, and those in college transfer programs at two-year public or junior colleges; August 1 for all first-time applicants who plan to enroll in a business, trade, or technical school; a hospital school of nursing; or a two-year terminal program at a community, junior, or four-year college. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
