PA AFL-CIO Unionism in America Essay Contest

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Prize)

Purpose: Contest consists of three categories: high school seniors, student currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution, and affiliated members attending an accredited post-secondary institution. Requirements: completed application form, 1,500-word essay, three references (one from a labor organization member). Three award levels in each category: 1st - $2,000; 2nd $1,000; 3rd - $500. Must be a resident of Pennsylvania and a U.S. citizen. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
