Legislative Fellows Program

(Postgraduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: Award for graduate/post-graduate with an interest in New York government. Must be a U.S. citizen. The deadline is the first Friday in May. For more details see Web site: http://www.senate.state.ny.us. Focus: Political Science Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 8. Maximum no. of awards: 10. Minimum award amount: $29500. No. and Amount Awarded Last Calendar Year: 10 fellowship(s), totalling $295,000. Richard J. Roth Journalism Fellowship

(Postgraduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: Provides placement in the Senate Press Office for a student with experience and/or intentions in the fields of communications, journalism, and/or public relations. Must be a U.S. citizen. The deadline is the first Friday in May. For more details see Web site: http://www.senate.state.ny.us. Focus: Journalism; TV/Radio Broadcasting; Communications; Filmmaking/Video Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
