Purpose: Available to New Jersey residents who work as interns or student correspondents/stringers for New Jersey weekly or daily newspapers. Student is awarded a scholarship based on the quality of work performed. Recipients must have at least one term of college remaining following the announcement of scholarships. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 5. Maximum no. of awards: 12. Minimum award amount: $1000. No. and Amount Awarded Last Calendar Year: 5 scholarship(s), totalling $5,000. Purpose: Program co-sponsored with the Garden State Scholastic Press Association. Winning student is nominated to the Journalism Education Association for the National High School Journalist of the Year Competition. Must be in high school with plans of entering a four-year college or university on a full-time basis. Deadline is February 15. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Focus: Journalism Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
